[ No longer are they in Teyvat nor near the planes of Guili and yet there's a familiar sense tugging at him during his arrival here that he knows who it to be. Having finally figured out a little on how to use these fascinating devices he's been trying his luck with making acquaintances over this network thing.

But more than that this place is turning out to be rather fascinating in its own right. He definitely wants to explore and to try to have an audience with the god here. But the presence of one Yaksha has made Zhongli put all of that aside. And so Xiao will get a curious text one afternoon from a name he's most certainly familiar with. ]

How are you faring? [ Is the singular question but it bears a lot of meaning. He knows that in Teyvat making Xiao's medicine was easy to comeby but here...would the necessary ingredients exist? Or perhaps could the GemSci help? There's too many questions to factor into such a thought and for the moment Zhongli just wants to make sure the other is okay and acclimating to this strange new environment easily. ]

[ He knows the name, although the name he first met Zhongli by - the one he has used for thousands of years - is quite different. That doesn't matter much; he'll always respond to this person from any name, even if his god is now "retired"... ]

I have no complaints. [ Beyond being somewhere he shouldn't be, and everything else...he doesn't often like to share his troubles, and while they will always exist they aren't something he wants to burden one of the (former?) seven with just yet. ] Have you any better idea how we arrived?

[ Zhongli prides himself on being as knowledgeable as he can be, so the fact that he has literally zero ideas on how they came to be does irk him somewhat. He doesn't exactly like being left in the dark, even if he himself has left other people in it before. Just have a curious 'hm' on his end before he finally begins speaking. ]

The matter and means of our arrival here is still one I have yet to gain any ground on. I assume it can be determined that the so-called new god had something to do with it. Or it is perhaps through this...technology as well. [ Though speaking of gods... ]

I have yet to gain an audience with this Malachite either. But it's people being at unease with even an utterance of its name... [ does not sit well with him at all. Hhe's having war flashbacks!!! ]

[ Strange, but not...unexpected. It doesn't seem like the archons intended for this to happen, which is at least some sort of blessing. Xiao would do as asked, but it would be a pain to be in a new place without any sort of heads up... ]

It bodes ill. This place works...strangely. And I am uneasy that Liyue is without both of us. [ He's literally the only Yaksha left. ]

[ It does bode ill but at Xiao's concern for the Liyue Zhongli can't help but reply with a soft smile. He'll shake his head as he looks back at the adeptus. ]

Your worries are not without reason. But I don't think we need to worry about the people of Liyue. They have shown that they can handle great adversity on their own. Still...remaining here for an extended period does draw some concern.

[ He's also just super confused about technology and how it works too. ] This society is plagued with a god that is feared. [ Something that bodes ill indeed. ]

The strangness of its technology is also something that I have been trying to figure out.

The innovations are...curious.

[ He hasn't commented on the network once, because he's that kind of person. But he's read on and off... ]

What is it you wish us to do here?

[ Zhongli is getting the hang of it. He's a curious god by default, taking up some of Guizhong's mannerisms as it were. So tinkering with the object had been his first and foremost prerogative.

But at Xiao's question, Zhongli is silent before he gives a soft sigh. ]

There are too many unknown factors of the god here. It would be impertinent of us to intrude on another's lands. For now, going along with what is happening here is the best course of action. Finding more information about this place would be ideal as well. [ But, ah, there's something else isn't there? All work and no play is not allowed here!! ]

I also wish for you...for us to enjoy it as well. Liyue is safe and if we are to thrive and exist here then we must coexist with the people around us. I want you to...experience this world as you have unfortunately not had the chance to do so in Teyvat.

[ Can you do that for him, Xiao?! ]

I...do not plan to do anything to harm those around us.

[ He's never been one for shedding human blood.

Granted, he's also not sure how to socialize? So he'll try to "experience" things, but it will be a little awkwardly for a long while. ]

I doubt there will be much need for such things here. The guards have proven to be sufficient in terms of protecting their citizens here, much like the Millelith in Liyue.

[ Though he can't help but let out a soft sigh. Xiao ever dutiful was even thinking of conforming and sticking to his duties here. ]

If there is anything you would like to do or wish to try, you may call and I will answer. [ In some ways he regrets not spending more time with the other yakshas. But perhaps he might be able to rectify such things here. ]

As this is a new experience for us both, pursuing it together might make it less overwhelming for us both. [ But he knows Xiao likes to do everything alone, still the offer stands, and should the other take him up on it Zhongli will be there to assist. ]

I will always be at your disposal.

[ Pursuing things alone...yes. But if Rex Lapis wishes to make a contract or give him an order, he will always listen. He serves one god and that has not changed even with Zhongli's "retirement". ]

Hm. Then if you are in need of manna at any point you may come to me for help. And I will do the same should I be in a similar situation.

[ He knows Xiao isn't very good with crowds so he does worry... ]

Let us not speak in terms of contracts and disposal here. After all the rules and structures of these lands are different from our own. I would enjoy...spending time with you not as the god, Morax, but as the human, Zhongli.

[ Xiao's devotion is something Zhongli truly appreciates but he also wants him to relax and enjoy himself here too. ] If those terms are acceptable to you that is.

[ Zhongli, you just asked to dispose of contracts but then ended with terms...? ]

I am... [ Yours to command? ] ...always willing to give you my time.

[ Though he doesn't know if he can think of Zhongli as "human". Neither of them are. ]
